The organization provides a much needed voice for Judeo-Christian values in public policy matters. Before each election, VAC Action, their legislative arm, publishes a Values Voter Guide giving valuable information on the positions of candidates for School Boards, City Councils, Community College Districts, and the Board of Supervisors. They organize the National Day of Pastor Breakfast and evening "Time of Prayer, Praise, and Worship" at San Jose City Hall,sponsor bi-monthly luncheons with top quality speakers. Their March speaker is Ron Prentice, Executive Director of CA Family Council. May's speaker is Brian Sussman, hosts a top-rated radio talk show on KSFO 560AM. The Values Advocacy Council is working to repeal "Confidential Medical Release" policies adopted by local school boards. Confidential Medical Release policy allows any pupil in grades 7 through 12 from the school for the purpose of obtaining confidential medical services without the consent of the pupil’s parent or guardian to have an abortion, receive suicide, alcohol and drug treatment and counseling. The values Advocacy Council is watching out for our families and working to ensure that elected and non-elected officials make family friendly decisions.
